Jed Koehler grew up at the GLCBP in the 80's loving everything boating. He served as a sailing instructor for GLCBP from 1993-96 before leaving to become the Water Front Director for the MDC-DCR running local state beaches for five seasons. A graduate from Salem State University with a Bachelors of Business Law, Jed became a Program Director at the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club from 2002 to 2007, then a Director for the North Shore YMCA Group from 2007 to 2011. In March of 2011, Jed Koehler Became the 4th Executive Director of the GLCBP in its 31 year history.
Mitch McManus successfully led crews of a different kind before moving to coaching full time. As an internationally awarded Film & Television Director, he has written, produced and directed commercials for everything from hamburgers to Hollywood blockbusters, however his passion has always been working with sports, listing NFL, The Soccer World Cup and the Olympic Games among his many production credits.
Rowing Director & Head Coach
David joined the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program as a member in 2006. After a several years enjoying the sailing on the Merrimack River, he spent two summers volunteering as an instructor's assistant, and was hired as a sailing instructor during the Summer of 2013. David became the Assistant Waterfront Director in 2018 and the Waterfront Director in 2019. After receiving his Bachelors in Business Administration and Political Science, he stepped down to part time during the summers at the GLCBP to pursue his Master's in Higher Education Administration. During the fall of 2020, David reinvigorated the sailing team after the program received a grant from the Cummings Foundation to purchase six brand-new 420 race boats.

Summer Program Directors
Mandy started working at the boathouse as the Snack Shack manager in 2012. After two years, she took on additional responsibility and became the Facilities Director for the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program. Mandy currently manages the Snack Shack, building operations, and the CIT program located here at the GLCBP. During the year, she teaches 5th grade ELA at South Lawrence East Elementary School.
Justin began his time at the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program in 2011 in the GLR learn to row program. He continued to row for the next six years, eventually becoming the captain of the team. He was hired in 2017 after several years as a Counselor in Training, and became a Co-Assistant Waterfront Director during the summer of 2019. For the summer of 2020 Justin became the Waterfront Director. Currently, Justin is studying crime and legal studies at Colby-Sawyer College.
Assistant Waterfront Director
MQ started his time here at the GLCBP in 2010 as a member of the summer Sailing Program. He continued to be a part of the Sailing Program and joined the sailing team in 2015. He was hired in 2017 after being awarded CIT of the year, and has been a sailing instructor ever since. For the summer of 2020, MQ is the Assistant Waterfront Director. He plans to study biology at UMASS Amherst this fall.
