The Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program is excited to announce that we will be open for summer programs starting June 14, 2021. Hours of operation will be 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.  Children ages 9 and older can be dropped off daily. Family boating time is available for ages 8 and under with an adult. Adult and family memberships are available and private lesson scheduling will be available.

The Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program will employ Covid-19 safety protocols as we continue to work to keep our members safe. We are currently awaiting the most up-to-date Covid-19 summer guidelines from the State of Massachusetts and the Governor's office, and when received, will update the organizational rules and regulations for all summer members and programs. Covid-19 waivers, as well as the standard membership rules and regulations, will be signed by all members/guardians during the registration process.

For more detailed information on summer program offerings, please visit the "Summer Program" tab in the main navigation bar.

Program outline and registration process

Opening  day is June 14th 2021.  Registration opens at 8:00am in person.

Starting June 14th, we are moving back to in person registration. Registration opens at 8am on June 14th at the front counter and will continue through the remainder of the summer. As long as there are no major changes to Covid-19 regulations, all summer membership registrations will be processed as we traditionally do.  Members may stop by the boathouse 7 days a week between 8am and 8pm to register - We encourage you to print and fill out the membership application in advance by downloading it here. Staff will be on-hand to assist in registration, as well as administer our standard swim test on the dock. Members may begin attending (for youth drop-off or family/adult use) on or after June 14th. Members attending for morning/afternoon lessons will be organized into classes on June 21st at 9am for morning sessions and 5:30pm for afternoon sessions for sailing lessons as part of the summer membership.

Members who prefer to take the swim test in a pool, may contact Dan Burke of the Merrimack Valley YMCA at dburke@mvymca.org to schedule a swim test. You can print out our membership application to bring with you prior to signing up by clicking here.
